The President of the Republic, Nizar Amedi, on Tuesday emphasized the importance of developing the health sector and enhancing the quality of medical services provided to citizens.
According to a statement issued by the Presidency and received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the President met at the Baghdad Palace with Minister of Health Saleh Al-Hasnawi, who extended his congratulations on the President’s assumption of office, wishing him success in fulfilling his duties and meeting the aspirations of the Iraqi people.
The statement added that the meeting addressed the current state of the country’s healthcare system, with the President underscoring the need to advance the sector and improve the level of services offered to the public. He stressed the importance of coordinated efforts among relevant institutions to confront challenges and upgrade the infrastructure of healthcare facilities.
For his part, the Minister of Health reviewed the key challenges facing the sector, outlining ongoing plans and measures aimed at developing health services and supporting medical personnel, thereby contributing to improved quality of care across the country.
