The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed Iraq's full solidarity with Algeria on Thursday regarding the fires that broke out in several provinces.
In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the Ministry said: "We express our full solidarity with the brotherly People's Democratic Republic of Algeria in light of the repercussions of the fires that broke out in several Algerian provinces, resulting in a number of deaths and injuries."
The statement added that Iraq "extends its deepest condolences and sincere sympathies to the government and people of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, and to the families of the victims, wishing a speedy recovery to the injured and safety for all citizens." It affirmed its "support for the brotherly Algerian people during this painful time and its confidence in the ability of Algerian state institutions to overcome the effects of this disaster, mitigate its repercussions, and restore normalcy to the affected areas."
The statement reiterated Iraq's solidarity "with the brotherly Algerian people," wishing "the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria continued security, stability, and peace."
