Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his concern on Tuesday regarding the escalation in the region, while affirming his country's continued mediation role between Iran and the United States to achieve regional peace and stability.
In a statement carried by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Sharif said, "We will continue our mediation role and remain committed to regional peace and stability."
"We are concerned about the escalation in the Gulf region, and all parties must exercise restraint and refrain from any destabilizing actions," he added.
"We urge all parties to exercise restraint and refrain from any actions that could destabilize the region," he concluded.
