Sayyid Al-Hakim urges Priority for salaries, farmers' and contractors dues

Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, affirmed today, Monday, to the Minister of Finance, Faleh al-Sari, the priority of paying the salaries of employees and the dues of farmers and contractors.

A statement issued by the National State Forces Alliance, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), indicated that "the head of the National State Forces Alliance, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, met with Finance Minister Faleh al-Sari and discussed with him the latest developments in the country's financial situation amidst the economic crisis Iraq is experiencing."

Sayyid al-Hakim emphasized "the importance of preparing a program-based budget that targets specific sectors according to priorities," calling for "capitalizing on this period to diversify Iraq's sources of income and supporting the state's efforts to maximize revenues by increasing production and diversifying oil export outlets."

According to the statement, Sayyid Al-Hakim called for "developing the banking sector and utilizing modern technologies within it, supporting small businesses to create job opportunities, and ensuring integrated performance with other institutions such as the Central Bank and the Federal Board of Supreme Audit."

It emphasized "the priority of paying employee salaries and the dues owed to farmers and contractors," explaining that "this priority contributes to sustaining the cycle of development and production, providing job opportunities, and reclaiming land, “He affirmed that "supporting the agricultural sector is an economic, social, and environmental necessity."
