The United States has given Saudi Arabia the green light to enrich uranium, CNN reported.
Citing documents and sources familiar with the matter, CNN said the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump had granted Saudi Arabia preliminary approval to enrich uranium as part of an agreement related to the kingdom's civilian nuclear program, according to Russia's RIA Novosti news agency.
CNN said the agreement, in its current form, does not include international safeguards or measures aimed at preventing the development of nuclear weapons.
