The Rusafa Investigation Court announced the arrest of four individuals accused of forging seals belonging to personal status courts and several judges.
The Supreme Judicial Council-SJC stated in a press release, received by the Iraqi news agency-INA that “The competent judge stated that the court formed a team after receiving information from the Rusafa Combating Crime Bureau's investigation department. The monitored information showed that individuals were observed near the courthouse in Al-Shaab forging court and judicial seals. The judge noted that the team went to the location and apprehended the suspects in the act”.
The statement added,”He pointed out that the court ratified the accused's confessions, in which they admitted to possessing and using the seals to issue illegal marriage contracts. Their statements were written down as witnesses, and arrest warrants were issued for the remaining individuals involved in the case”.
