Oil Ministry: Oil Loading Operations at Southern Ports Continue Without Interruption

The Ministry of Oil confirmed on Thursday that oil loading operations at southern ports are continuing without interruption.

Oil Ministry spokesman Salim al-Rikabi told the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "reports circulating on some social media pages and television channels regarding the suspension of Iraqi oil loading operations at southern ports due to a drone strike on an oil tanker are false."

He added, "Oil loading operations at southern ports are continuing without interruption," noting that "the State Oil Marketing Company (SOMO) is still investigating the incident of a foreign object striking one of the tankers, and we will announce the results once the investigation is complete."
