Israeli soldier sentenced to five years in prison for sharing videos with alleged Iranian agent

The Israeli military announced on Wednesday that one of its soldiers has been sentenced to five years in prison after being convicted of sending videos to an individual Israeli authorities identified as an Iranian agent. According to the Israeli military, the soldier transmitted two videos in June 2025, during the 12-day conflict between Israel and Iran, showing missile interceptions. The military said the soldier received payment for one of the videos. The statement added that the soldier also sent additional videos filmed in civilian areas, including footage of a missile strike that, according to the military, had been obtained from online sources.
