PM Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi begins an official visit to the United States on Monday, leading a high-level official delegation.
The visit, which comes at the invitation of U.S. President Donald Trump, aims to advance Iraqi-U.S. relations, strengthen economic and development partnerships, attract investment, and expand the role of U.S. companies in implementing infrastructure projects, according to a statement from the PM Media Office, received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
The visit also seeks to develop the energy, oil, and gas sectors, enhance national capabilities in the production of petroleum products and petrochemical industries, and support productive sectors in a manner that contributes to diversifying the national economy.
During his talks with U.S. President Donald Trump and officials in the U.S. government, as well as his meetings with representatives of the American business and economic community, the Prime Minister will present a package of strategic initiatives aimed at consolidating the foundations of the strategic partnership between Iraq and the United States in line with the shared interests of both countries.
