The Pakistani Foreign Ministry affirmed on Sunday that it is following with grave concern the recent events that have led to an escalation of regional tensions, calling on all parties to exercise restraint and take steps to de-escalate the situation.
In a statement followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the Pakistani Foreign Ministry said: “We are following with grave concern the recent events that are exacerbating regional tensions.”
It added: “We are committed to providing all support to achieve lasting peace and stability in the region through dialogue and diplomacy, and we reaffirm our support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all brotherly countries in the region.”
The Pakistani Foreign Ministry urged all parties to “exercise restraint, take steps to de-escalate the situation, and fulfill their obligations under the Memorandum of Understanding.”
