The official spokesperson for the Supreme Committee for the Funeral Procession of Martyr Sayyid Ali Khamenei, Lieutenant General Saad Maan, announced today, Wednesday, that approximately three million mourners participated in the funeral procession of Martyr Sayyid Ali Khamenei.
Ma'an told the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "the Supreme Security Committee for the funeral procession is present on the ground in the holy city of Karbala to oversee the procession," adding that "the procession will begin at Sayyid Jawda Square and proceed to the two holy shrines."
"The number of participants in the funeral procession in Najaf reached approximately three million, according to information gathered through field monitoring, media reports, and estimated figures. This count includes participants from the Sadrin Bridge to the courtyard of Fatima (peace be upon her), as well as within the shrine itself, along the side streets and other gatherings, ending at Khan al-Nass (in the al-Haydariya district)," he added.
