National Security Adviser Qasim Al-Araji and the head of the Supreme Islamic Iraqi Council, Sheikh Humam Hammoudi, stressed the need to support state efforts to uphold the rule of law, the National Security Adviser's media office said on Monday.
βAl-Araji met Hammoudi to discuss the overall political and security situation in Iraq and review ways to strengthen domestic stability and reinforce the foundations of peaceful security, the statement said.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on enhancing cooperation among national political forces to support the state's efforts to uphold the rule of law and achieve sustainable development in line with the aspirations of the Iraqi people, it added.
