Hassan al-Jubouri, a member of the Arab Parliament representing Iraq, affirmed that the Palestinian issue is at the forefront of Iraq’s and the Arab Parliament’s concerns.
Al-Jubouri told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The main focus of the Arab Parliament’s general session is the repercussions of the American (Israeli) Iranian war and the (Israeli) attacks on Palestine and Lebanon.”
He explained that "the Palestinian cause is the primary cause of Islam and the Arabs, and it is at the forefront of the concerns of Iraq and the Arab Parliament in all forums."
He added that "the Palestinians have been subjected to genocide by (Israel)," noting that "the official position of Iraq and the Arab Parliament is firm towards the Palestinian cause, and we support any action taken by Arab countries towards the Palestinian cause."
He also indicated that "a subcommittee has been formed within the Arab Parliament to monitor Israeli attacks on Palestine, “He noted that "a subcommittee has been formed in the Arab Parliament to follow up on (Israeli) attacks on Palestine."
