The Anbar Police Command announced on Tuesday the arrest of a suspect found in possession of weapons, 34 counterfeit government seals, and 72 falsified financial compensation transactions.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Interior, the operation was executed by the Al-Habbaniyah police station. Acting on precise intelligence and proper judicial authorization, security forces carried out a targeted operation that culminated in the apprehension of the suspect, identified by the initials Y.A.H., on charges of forging state compensation documents and possessing counterfeit official stamps.
A subsequent search of the suspect’s residence uncovered 34 forged government seals and 72 fraudulent compensation files. In addition to the forgery materials, authorities seized a cache of weapons, live ammunition, explosive materials, tactical military supplies, and communication devices.
The ministry confirmed that all necessary legal procedures have been initiated against the suspect, and the confiscated items have been formally documented in an official seizure report for judicial processing.
