The Counter-Terrorism Service (CTS) announced on Tuesday the arrest of three terrorists, including the official responsible for bomb-making, in Salah al-Din province.

The CTS said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that, based on precise intelligence, its forces carried out a series of security operations in several areas, resulting in the arrest of three terrorists and the search of a number of hideouts across the country.

It added that the force arrested one of the most dangerous terrorist operatives, identified as the group's official responsible for bomb-making in Salah al-Din province. He was apprehended in Sulaymaniyah province in coordination with the Kurdistan Region's Asayish Directorate of Operations.

The statement added that the force also carried out several separate operations, resulting in the arrest of two terrorists in Anbar and Mosul, and the search of a number of mud-built villages and hideouts used by ISIS remnants in Wadi Zaghitoun in Kirkuk.

It said the operations were part of the Counter-Terrorism Service's ongoing efforts to track down the remaining ISIS militants, safeguard citizens' security and preserve Iraq's stability.
