The Iranian Foreign Ministry announced today, Tuesday, that tomorrow's meeting with the Qatari side in Doha will discuss the implementation of the memorandum of understanding.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghaei said in a press statement followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The Iranian technical delegation, headed by Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal Affairs Kazem Gharibabadi, will discuss tomorrow with the Qatari side in Doha the implementation of the memorandum of understanding."
"We are witnessing the implementation of some clauses in the memorandum of understanding, and the progress regarding the embargo and the exemption of oil from sanctions is acceptable," Baghaei stressed.
"Article 13 clearly states that the start of negotiations for a final agreement is contingent upon the implementation of several clauses, most importantly, ending the war in Lebanon," he stated.
"Establishing a conflict monitoring mechanism in Lebanon is important, and we are seriously pursuing this matter," Baghaei added.
