The head of National State Forces Alliance, said on Tuesday that the 1920 Revolt was an authentic national achievement.
In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Al-Hakim said, "One hundred and six years have passed since Iraq's immortal epic, the 1920 Revolt, which was an authentic national achievement, free from any external agenda."
He added that the revolt, led by The Religious Authority and supported by loyal Iraqi tribes, demonstrated that the unity of Iraqis is the source of their strength and that loyalty to the homeland transcends all other considerations.
