Iraq Secures Arab Land Transport Union vice Presidency for Third Consecutive Term

Ministry of Transport announced on Sunday that the country has secured the post of vice president of the Arab Union for Land Transport for a third consecutive term.

The ministry said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "the Board of Directors and General Assembly of the Arab Union for Land Transport have re-elected Karim Kazem Hussein, Director General of the General Company for Passenger and Delegation Transport, one of the Ministry of Transport's affiliates, as vice president of the Arab Union for Land Transport for a third consecutive term, during meetings currently being held in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan."

It added that "this reflects the level of confidence in Iraqi competencies and the accumulated expertise possessed by the General Company for Passenger and Delegation Transport, consolidating its position as an effective partner in supporting and developing the land transport sector at the regional level, while also strengthening Iraq's presence within specialized Arab organizations and unions."
