Congressman says Trump violated congressional measure on Iran
Democratic Congressman Ro Khanna has condemned the Trump administration's renewed strikes on Iran, arguing they violate a congressional measure intended to limit further military action without approval from lawmakers.
"These strikes are a blatant violation of the War Powers Resolution that we passed," Khanna wrote on X.
"Trump must stop this war now β or we will take him to court to compel him to do so."
The comments came after Congress approved a resolution requiring the president to either halt military operations against Iran or seek congressional authorisation for further action.
