Media outlets reported on Saturday that more than 100 people died in France in the past 24 hours due to the severe heatwave gripping the country.

The media stated that "the high temperatures have led to an increase in deaths, while French authorities continue to take measures to address the effects of the heatwave, issuing warnings to the population, especially the elderly and those most vulnerable."

They added that "more than 100 people died in the past 24 hours due to the heatwave."
