Iraqi Muay Thai star Mustafa Al-Tikriti continued his impressive performances at the 2026 World Championships in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, after reaching the final.
"Al-Tikriti achieved a valuable victory in the semi-final against his Ukrainian opponent, with a score of 29-28, securing his place in the final," stated the Iraqi Muay Thai Federation in a press release received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
The statement added that "the Iraqi champion will face his Russian opponent tomorrow, Thursday, in a highly anticipated match to determine the gold medal and claim the podium."
Al-Tikriti had previously reached the semi-finals after a knockout victory over his Brazilian opponent, then continued his outstanding performance by overcoming the Ukrainian player in a tough match, confirming his remarkable presence at the world championship.
He aspires to crown his distinguished run by winning the gold medal and raising the Iraqi flag at the global event.
