The Supreme Judicial Council-SJC on Tuesday denied the authenticity of an arrest warrant circulating on social media.
SJC media center said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that it had detected the circulation on social media of an arrest warrant purportedly issued by the First Karkh Investigative Court.
The media center said that, after contacting the court allegedly responsible for issuing the warrant, it had confirmed that the document was forged and invalid.
The statement warned against engaging in such unlawful practices, stressing that those responsible would be tracked down and legal action would be taken against them.
