An Iraqi parliamentary delegation arrived in the Azerbaijani capital, Baku, on Tuesday to participate in the 20th session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
The media office of the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "an Iraqi parliamentary delegation, headed by First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Adnan Fayhan, arrived in the Azerbaijani capital, Baku, on Tuesday to participate in the 20th Conference of the Union of Councils of Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), which is being hosted by Azerbaijan from June 22 to 25."
The statement added that the Iraqi parliamentary delegation includes MPs Hussein Moanes, Mohammed Kaoud, Asos Ali and Khadija Wadi, in addition to the Secretary-General of the Parlimant, Safwan Bashir Al-Jarjari.
The statement said that the participation reflects the Parliament' commitment to strengthening its presence in parliamentary forums and advancing parliamentary diplomacy in a manner that supports Iraq’s national interests and reinforces cooperation and partnership with regional and international parliaments.
