The head of the National State Forces Alliance, Ammar Al-Hakim, affirmed on Tuesday his support for Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi in achieving economic reforms and implementing the government program.
In a speech on the occasion of the holy month of Muharram, which was followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Al-Hakim said, "We support Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi in achieving economic reforms and implementing the government program." He emphasized that "the political progress taking place in Iraq today must continue and consolidate the foundations of security and political stability in the country, and we must not tolerate anything that hinders this, regardless of the justifications or challenges."
Al-Hakim added that "the Coordination Framework has taken an important step in supporting the Prime Minister in carrying out the required reforms, especially in the economic field, considering it a top priority in his government program, which was approved by the Council of Representatives."
He continued, "Therefore, we reiterate our full support for Al-Zaidi's government, and we affirm that its success is Iraq's success, and that enabling it to implement its reform, development, and service program represents a shared national responsibility."
Al-Hakim pointed out that "all political forces have emphasized the necessity of confine weapons to the state, if yesterday's priority was protecting the state from collapse, today's priority is completing the state's construction and consolidating its strength and stability."
