U.S. President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that Washington has a fair and good agreement with Iran, but is not investing any money in the country.
"We have a fair and good agreement with Iran, but we are not investing any money there," Trump said, adding that cooperation with Qatar regarding its mediation efforts to resolve the crisis in the region had been an important and positive factor.
Trump said that what matters to him is that Iran does not possess a nuclear weapon in any form, adding that what prompted him to sign the memorandum of understanding was ensuring that Iran would not acquire a nuclear weapon.
He stated that if Iran seeks to obtain a nuclear weapon, "all hell will break out upon it."
Trump also said that there had been attempts to change the regime in Iran, but that those efforts had failed.
