The U.S. Air Force announced on Monday that a B-52 Stratofortress bomber crashed in the state of California.
According to a military source cited by Reuters, the aircraft went down shortly after taking off from Edwards Air Force Base Airport earlier in the day.
The source added that emergency response teams were immediately dispatched to the crash site and that the situation remains ongoing, with further details yet to be released.
