Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Haibat Al-Halbousi, met with Minister of Electricity Ali Saadi Waheeb to discuss the challenges facing the country’s electricity sector.
According to a statement issued by the Speaker’s Media Office and received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Al-Halbousi received the Minister of Electricity on Monday. During the meeting, attended by the Chairman of the Najaf Provincial Council and the Governor of Najaf, the Speaker reviewed a number of issues and challenges affecting the energy sector.
The statement added that the Speaker had been briefed on these concerns during his visit to Najaf Governorate and stressed the need to coordinate with the relevant authorities to find urgent and effective solutions.
