Lebanon will push for full Israeli withdrawal, PM says

Lebanon will redouble efforts to secure the complete Israeli withdrawal from its lands, and the release of prisoners, Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam said following the announcement of the US-Iran agreement.

In a cabinet meeting on Monday, he stated the Lebanese government is working to return displaced residents to their homes in the country’s south and will intensify efforts with partners to secure the requirements for reconstruction.

"The government has mobilised all its resources in recent months to respond to the displacement crisis, and we look forward to our people being able to return safely and with dignity to their towns and villages as soon as possible.”
