Iran’s Foreign Ministry said on Monday that the announcement of an immediate and permanent end to war and military operations across multiple fronts, including Lebanon, would begin tonight.
Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi said in a press statement that the text of the Islamabad MoU had been finalized and would be signed on Friday in Geneva.
He added that Iran had held extensive discussions with Pakistan and Qatar in recent days over the draft agreement.
Gharibabadi said further consultations were held on Monday in Tehran with the Qatari delegation to review the draft memorandum and Iran’s remarks on it.
He added: “We have special mechanisms to monitor the implementation of U.S. commitments under the memorandum of understanding”.
