Al-Araji: The Government is Ready for Full Cooperation on Various International Issues

National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji affirmed on Sunday that the Iraqi government is prepared to fully cooperate on various international issues and adhere to UN Security Council resolutions, particularly those concerning the Kuwaiti archives and missing persons.

The National Security Advisor's media office stated in a press release received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji met with the special representative of the UN Secretary-General, Mari Yamashita, in the presence of the UN resident coordinator in Iraq, Ghulam Mohammad Ishaqzai." "

"The meeting addressed UN Security Council Resolution 2792, pertaining to the Kuwaiti archives and missing persons, as well as discussing prospects for strengthening cooperation and joint coordination between Iraq and the United Nations," the statement added.

According to the statement, al-Araji emphasized that the Iraqi government is prepared to fully cooperate on various international issues and adhere to UN Security Council resolutions, especially those related to this humanitarian matter, noting that Iraq continues its approach of building balanced relations with brotherly and friendly nations, reiterating Iraq's complete respect for the brotherly state of Kuwait, its government, and its people.

"The Iraqi and Kuwaiti peoples are bound by close social ties and shared strategic interests that enhance security and stability in the region," al-Araji confirmed.

"Mari Yamashita commended the Iraqi government's cooperation with the United Nations on various issues, emphasizing the importance of continued joint work and coordination to strengthen security and peace at both the regional and international levels," the statement continued.
