The head of the Supreme Hajj and Umrah Authority, Sheikh Sami Al-Masoudi, expressed his gratitude to the Iraqi Media Network on Thursday for its comprehensive coverage of the Hajj season.
In his address at the Hajj and Umrah Authority's conference celebrating winning the Labeetim Award for the fourth consecutive time, which was attended by a correspondent from the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Sheikh Al-Masoudi stated, "The Iraqi Hajj Authority is honored to receive the Labaytum Award for the fourth consecutive time." He added, "This diamond Labaytum Award is not the end of the road, but rather the beginning."
He further noted that "the Joint Security Committee and the Ministry of Interior exerted outstanding efforts to ensure the safety of the pilgrims," and commended "the efforts of the Sunni and Shiite endowments and the Holy Karbala Governorate for providing support and facilitation."
He continued: “We thank Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi for his continued support for the Hajj season, as well as the head of the Border Ports Authority, Lieutenant General Omar al-Waili, for the services and facilities he provided during the transportation of pilgrims,” expressing his “gratitude to the Iraqi Media Network for covering all the details of the Hajj season.”
