President Nizar Amedi on Tuesday underscored the importance of fostering dialogue and mutual understanding among Iraq’s various political forces.
According to a statement issued by the Presidency’s Media Office and received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), President Amedi met at Al-Salam Palace in Baghdad with Raed Fahmi, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Iraqi Communist Party, and the accompanying delegation.
The statement said the meeting reviewed the latest developments on the domestic and regional fronts, as well as ways to support stability and advance development efforts.
President Amedi emphasized the importance of consolidating dialogue and understanding among different political forces, noting that such efforts would help unify positions in addressing current challenges and fulfilling citizens’ aspirations for security, public services, and sustainable development.
He also affirmed that the Presidency is committed to supporting national initiatives that promote social cohesion and reinforce the principles of justice and the rule of law.
For his part, Fahmi expressed the party’s support for all efforts aimed at strengthening political stability in a manner that serves the interests of the Iraqi people and advances the country’s path of reconstruction and progress.
