UK urges Iran and Israel to de-escalate after renewed attacks
UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper has urged Iran and Israel to de-escalate after renewed attacks threatened to widen the regional war.
“The resumption of conflict between Iran and Israel is in no one’s interest,” Cooper said in a post on X.
“Both sides must show restraint and de-escalate immediately,” she added.
Cooper said “negotiations must continue towards the lasting settlement that we all need, for peace and stability in the region, and for the full restoration of global trade”.
