Iraqi Airways on Sunday announced the suspension of all scheduled inbound and outbound flights during the period of Iraq’s temporary airspace closure.
In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the airline said the decision comes in line with the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority’s order to temporarily and preventively close Iraqi airspace.
It added that the measure is in compliance with directives issued by relevant authorities and is aimed at ensuring the safety of passengers, as well as flight and operational crews.
The carrier urged passengers to follow its official channels for updates on flight schedules and subsequent procedures.
It said coordination efforts with relevant authorities remain ongoing to monitor developments and inform passengers of any updates regarding the resumption of flights.
