US President Donald Trump confirmed on Sunday that he would not lift the freeze on Iranian assets or any sanctions as part of any agreement.
In a statement to NBC News, which was also reported by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Trump said, "I am not demanding that Lebanon be part of a short-term agreement with Iran."
"I will not lift the freeze on Iranian assets or any sanctions as part of any agreement," he added, explaining, "If Iran behaves and does a good job, then we will start talking."
"We will work with Iran to recover and destroy its highly enriched uranium if we reach an agreement to end the war," he continued.
