Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi affirmed on Sunday to the Japanese Ambassador to Iraq, Akira Endo, that Iraq’s doors are open to Japanese companies to invest across various sectors.
The Prime Minister’s Media Office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that “Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi received the Japanese Ambassador to Iraq, Akira Endo, who congratulated the Prime Minister on the government’s gaining the confidence of the Council of Representatives and conveyed the greetings of Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi.”
The Prime Minister emphasized that Iraq’s doors are open to Japanese companies to invest in various sectors, particularly in major strategic projects, infrastructure, and economic fields, stressing that “the government will provide investors with all the necessary facilities.”
For his part, the Japanese Ambassador expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister and affirmed his country’s keenness to develop and strengthen bilateral relations in a manner that serves the common interests of the two friendly countries.
