Sheikh Bashar Al-Mashhadani, preacher of the Al-Kilaniyah Shrine, praised today, Friday, the efforts of Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi to ensure that weapons remain exclusively under state control.
In a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Al-Mashhadani said “We congratulate Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi on assuming office during this critical period and pray that Almighty God grants him success in managing the vital issues that will save the country and ensure a dignified and prosperous life for its citizens.”
He added “We highly value the government's efforts to combat corruption and strengthen security, particularly the steps taken to establish a specialized committee for recovering public funds and returning them to the state treasury, as well as the formation of another committee tasked with overseeing the surrender of weapons and ensuring that arms are held exclusively by the state.”
Al-Mashhadani emphasized that “These initiatives and decisions clearly demonstrate the Prime Minister’s seriousness and commitment to his work and reflect his perseverance, experience, and skill in handling the country’s sensitive affairs.”
He concluded by expressing hope that Iraq would enter a new era characterized by security, stability, prosperity, and public well-being.
