The Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Iraq offered its condolences to the Iraqi people on Thursday on the passing of Grand Ayatollah Muhammad Ishaq al-Fayyad.
A statement from the embassy, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said, "The Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the Republic of Iraq extends its deepest condolences and sympathies to the brotherly Iraqi people on the passing of Grand Ayatollah Sheikh Muhammad Ishaq al-Fayyad."
The statement continued, "We ask God to have mercy on him, grant him a place in Paradise, and give his family and loved ones patience and solace."
