Trump says Iran talks moving ahead ‘at a rapid pace’
US President Donald Trump says negotiations with Iran are continuing at a “rapid pace”, despite reports that Tehran may be suspending contacts with Washington.
The comments, made on social media, appeared to contradict an earlier report by Iran’s semi-official Tasnim news agency, which said Tehran had halted message exchanges with the US over Israel’s ongoing attacks on Lebanon.
There has been no official confirmation from Iranian authorities that talks have been suspended. Earlier, Trump said the US had not been informed of any pause in negotiations.
