CNN reported Sunday that President Donald Trump has made changes to the proposed agreement with Iran.
The network quoted officials as saying that “President Donald Trump sent back changes to the proposed deal with Iran after a meeting with advisers Friday, officials said, extending the back-and-forth negotiations into another week.
It added that “the precise changes requested by Trump were not immediately clear, but officials confirmed that the president insisted on using stricter language regarding Iran’s nuclear commitments, as well as guarantees related to the Strait of Hormuz.”
According to CNN, Trump expressed “concern about the financial aid that might be provided to Iran under the agreement, fearing it would be compared to the large sums of money released under the nuclear deal concluded during the Obama administration.”
