Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf confirmed on Sunday his country's confidence in emerging victorious from this major war, while indicating that no agreement will be signed until the rights of the Iranian people are guaranteed.
Qalibaf stated, "We are confident that we will emerge victorious from this major war, and there is no agreement, nor will we agree to any agreement, until we are certain that we have secured the rights of the Iranian people."
He added that "the military strength and defensive readiness of Iran's fighters, and the steadfastness and unity of the people, are the reason behind the defeat of the enemies," explaining that "the great Iranian people know very well that they stand at a sensitive and historic point, and for this reason they resist the murderous and criminal enemy."
He pointed out that "the enemy is trying, through economic pressure and media disinformation, to create discord and destroy the country's unity to compensate for its military defeat, but it will fail," noting that "the soldiers of the diplomatic field never trust the enemy's words and promises."
He continued, "What matters to us are the tangible achievements that must be realized in order for us to fulfill our commitments," explaining that "the task of diplomacy is to transform the victories achieved on the military field into political and legal gains."
