Oil prices fell on Friday, heading for their biggest weekly loss since early April 2026, following reports of an agreement between Washington and Tehran to extend the ceasefire.
West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures for July delivery fell 1.19% to $87.84 a barrel.
Brent crude futures for the same month fell 0.96% to $92.81 a barrel.
Brent crude has fallen 10.5% this week, its biggest drop since the week ending April 6, 2026, while WTI has suffered a weekly loss of 9.2%, its largest since the week ending April 13, 2026.
