The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday condemned the targeting of the State of Kuwait with missiles and drones, affirming its rejection of all acts that would threaten the security and stability of the countries of the region.
The ministry said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq expresses its condemnation of the targeting of the State of Kuwait with missiles and drones, affirming its rejection of all acts that would threaten the security and stability of the countries of the region.”
The statement added: “The ministry stresses the importance of exercising restraint and avoiding escalation in a manner that contributes to reducing tensions and enhancing regional security and stability, while emphasizing the necessity of adopting dialogue and diplomatic means to address crises.”
The ministry affirmed, according to the statement, “the support of the Republic of Iraq for all regional and international efforts and endeavors aimed at preventing the expansion of the circle of violence and working toward reaching peaceful solutions that preserve the security and stability of the peoples of the region.”
