PM Ali Falih Al-Zaydi received on Wednesday several Iraqi artists, affirming the government’s serious commitment to supporting artists.
The Prime Minister welcomed the delegation and extended Eid al-Adha greetings to them, praying to Almighty God to return this blessed occasion upon the Iraqi people with goodness and enduring stability, according to a statement from the PM Media Office, received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
He expressed his appreciation for the artistic community, which endured hardship during previous years, and affirmed the government’s commitment to supporting the arts as a reflection of Iraq’s identity and a civilizational message that embodies the Iraqi heritage and the nation’s collective memory.
The Prime Minister also praised the efforts of artists who succeeded in conveying the pain and causes of the country at a time when many remained silent, commending their role in preserving Iraq’s history and cultural heritage.
Al-Zaydi listened to the remarks and proposals presented by the attendees and reaffirmed the government’s serious commitment to supporting artists.
“All issues and demands raised during the meeting would be incorporated into the government program, serving as a roadmap that translates the government’s commitments into tangible actions that support this distinguished segment of society,” he stressed.
