The Joint Operations Command announced on Tuesday that it has formulated comprehensive security and intelligence strategies aimed at tracking down and eliminating the remaining remnants of ISIS cells.

According to an official statement obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), General Qais al-Muhammadaoui, Deputy Commander of the Joint Operations, chaired an expanded security meeting to review and assess recent military operations targeting the terrorists group.

The high-level briefing was attended by the Chief of Staff of the Joint Operations Command, senior staff officers, and representatives from the Counter-Terrorism Service (CTS), the Iraqi Air Force, Army Aviation, and the Directorate of Military Intelligence.

Officials held extensive discussions on the strategic outcomes of recent offensive operations and evaluated the combat and logistical losses inflicted upon the terrorist group.

The Command emphasized the necessity of strengthening technical cooperation across various military and security branches to achieve peak operational integration. It further defined priorities and sector responsibilities for each unit based on functional and field specializations, ensuring rapid response and execution accuracy.

The meeting concluded with the finalization of security and intelligence plans designed to pursue and neutralize remaining ISIS remnants, with a specific focus on remote areas characterized by rugged and challenging terrain.
