Head of the National State Forces Alliance Sayyed Ammar al-Hakim and head of the Al-Nasr Coalition Haider al-Abadi stressed the importance of supporting the government in confronting challenges, according to a statement issued on Sunday.
The media office of al-Hakim said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that al-Hakim met on Sunday evening with al-Abadi to discuss political developments in Iraq and the region, as well as the course of the new government headed by Ali al-Zaidi.
According to the statement, al-Hakim renewed his support for the government in addressing challenges and called for the completion of the cabinet, urging political blocs to assume responsibility for reaching the necessary understandings to appoint competent ministers.
On the regional level, al-Hakim expressed hope that ongoing negotiations in the region would lead to an end to the war against the Islamic Republic of Iran, stressing the need to achieve stability and bring an end to the escalation, which deepened crises in the region and the wider world.
