The President of the Republic, Nizar Amedi, stressed today, Sunday, the importance of supporting efforts to complete the ministerial cabinet.
The media office of the Presidency of the Republic stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the President of the Republic received at Al-Salam Palace in Baghdad, a delegation from the Turkmen Parliamentary Bloc headed by Arshad al-Salihi, who extended their congratulations on the occasion of his assumption of the post of President of the Republic."
The statement added, "The meeting discussed the political situation in the country, where the President pointed to the importance of supporting efforts to complete the ministerial cabinet, as well as the importance of coordination between national forces to support the legislative authority and enable it to perform its supervisory and legislative role in a way that serves the interests of citizens."
He emphasized that "the Turkmen represent an authentic part of the national fabric and their role is important in consolidating national unity and promoting coexistence among the sons of the Iraqi people."
For their part, members of the delegation expressed "their support for the President's efforts in consolidating political stability, and strengthening cooperation between various national forces in a way that contributes to advancing the wheel of parliamentary work and serving the Iraqi people."
