U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Sunday that Iran is holding commercial vessels “hostage” in the Strait of Hormuz.

Speaking in remarks reported by INA, Rubio said U.S. President Donald Trump remains committed to the principle of preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.

Rubio said no country in the world finances terrorism more than Iran, adding that Iran is holding commercial vessels hostage in the strategic waterway.
