Head of the Popular Mobilization Forces Faleh Al-Fayyadh and Kurdistan Regional Government Prime Minister Masrour Barzani discussed ways to develop security cooperation between Baghdad and Erbil.
In a statement by the Popular Mobilization Forces received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Al-Fayyadh received Barzani and his accompanying delegation on Saturday at his office in Baghdad. The meeting discussed the overall situation in the country and reviewed political developments, particularly the completion of the government cabinet, in a way that would support stability, advance government efforts to implement its program, and proceed with development projects to meet citizens’ aspirations across all provinces.
It added that the two sides also discussed ways to enhance security cooperation and raise the level of coordination between the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government, in order to strengthen security and serve Iraq’s higher interests.
