The Joint Operations Command announced on Saturday the killing of four terrorists and the destruction of a Daesh hideout in airstrikes in Kirkuk.
"Continuing the consistent offensive approach of our security forces in pursuing the remnants of terrorism and destroying their strongholds wherever they are found, and based on precise intelligence from the Military Intelligence Directorate, and with optimal supervision, monitoring, and planning by the Targeting Cell of the Joint Operations Command, our air force, using F-16 fighter jets, carried out two successful airstrikes targeting a hideout containing a detachment of Daesh terrorist gangs in Wadi al-Shay, within the Kirkuk Operations Command sector," the Command stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
The statement added, "These two strikes resulted in the killing of three terrorists and the complete destruction of the hideout, reducing it to rubble. This was followed by an armed reconnaissance mission by the Army Aviation to survey and search the area, during which they were able to locate and kill another terrorist."
"Our valiant armed forces will remain a strong shield for the nation, and shame and disgrace to the defeated remnants of terrorism," underscored the statement.
